Support Groups via online video chat (Zoom): Our post-adoption support groups are open to adult adoptees, birth/natural/first parents, adoptive parents and those in a supportive role. There is no cost and membership is not required. Confidentiality is key: What’s said in the room, stays in the room. To avoid interruptions when someone is sharing, please be on time.
In-person support groups were put on hold in 2020 due to restrictions on gatherings. Since then members have been able to attend from far and wide.

New Westminster support group – Nancy Kato retires
(Posted on January 15, 2023) Message from Nancy Kato: Happy New Year everyone! You may have noticed that Michael sent out the notice for the New Westminster Support Group meeting (on Zoom). He and Angela will be facilitating these meetings moving forward.
After 30 years of running the monthly support meetings in New Westminster, I have decided its time to retire. I am not stepping completely away from adoption reunion and people can still contact me if they wish to talk about their stories. I continue to field phone and email queries and will assist with searches as well.
I have the utmost confidence in Michael and Angela to run these meetings and they know they can contact me at any time with any questions.
Thank you all for your continued support of Forget Me Not Family Society and for sharing your stories – don’t stop! You all have an experience to share that may help someone else and your story is important.
I wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2023.
Nancy Kato
