About the Weekend | Brian Stanton is a stage actor who is most known for his original play ‘BLANK”, the true story of his adoption and search for identity. The film @ghostkingdom takes a magnifying glass to the SEARCH and everything that comes with that and is the true story of the play that became a motion picture and Brian’s journey to find his father. The Ghost Kingdom is filled with fantasy connections. The theme for the weekend will be about CONNECTION beyond the Ghost Kingdom. Not everyone is able to reunite with biological relations. During the weekend we will explore how to connect with ourselves and the world around us. Dinner on your own Friday and Saturday night and for lunch on Sunday including a presentation at the Saturday night dinner for Nancy Kato, upon her retirement. Location TBA. Forget Me Not Family Society (Adoption Circles) was formed to offer education, peer counselling and support to all those touched by adoption. Forget Me Not Family Society is a federally registered Canadian charitable organization and gratefully accepts donations. Tax receipts issued for donations over $25.00. | |||
Our Mandate is: | · To encourage and develop a recognition of the benefits of family preservation and openness in adoption practice. | ||
· To establish and operate a Post Adoption Resource Centre providing education, consultation, counselling, and support to those touched by adoption. | |||
· To provide community education programs, panel presentations, and workshops on post-adoption for any members of the community who wish to learn more about adoption and reunion issues. | |||

Membership in the Forget Me Not Family Society includes, peer support, monthly support groups via Zoom*, resource material, and a reduction in workshop/conference fees. *Membership although encouraged is not necessary to attend support groups |
